How To Estimate the Weight of Live Hogs

The Following table shows how hogs weight can be determined using a tape measure.

How to Measure Your Hogs.
Measure the hog's Length in inches from a point mid-way between the ears to the base of its tail. Keep the tape centered on the top of the back with the hog standing squarely, head in normal position.
Measure the hog's Heart Girth in inches just back of the front legs and pull the tape tight enough to depress the flesh slightly
